in both music and gear and he showed me around his new
Dave Smith Prophet 08. Whao Nellie, as Keith Jackson would say.
I'd say the difference between that synth and my John Bowen designed Prophet
5 DSP synth is small, but easily audible and almost tactile. The Bowen synth
sounds great, easily up to snuff for anything I might be doing and of course
is more versatile (more flexible routing, patching of f/x, multimode filters,
vastly more modulation possibilities, etc.) by a good bit, but the honest
to goodness analog engine really does matter. I'd say the difference is something
like the difference between a printed circuit board

Johntotally amazing energy Mike !Hope you get your part! You're right: there is plenty of good slapstick
out there.
The irony of which I spoke is the incongruity of behavior. When people
act in anger, grief, pity, hostility, covert hostility, they invariably
accomplish more harm than they attempt to counter, i.e. Bush's "war on
terror".
The irony of the solution becoming the problem. Only with great wisdom
can solutions be found that harm little, and wisdom is a scarce
commodity here on Earth.
Last night I watched Charlie Wilson's War. Get my point? Our CIA has an
uncanny tendency to help raise leaders to power who do more harm than
good, especially to the USA.
