I'm using it with the 64 bit scherzo driver.
Justin (Reaper developer) just made a change to Reraper that allows the PARIS ASIO driver to work with an external clock. It's very cool!
I'm just working out how to get the control panel working. I was going to use a library called QT, but it isn't playing nice with the rest of the driver code. I've started building it just using the Windows API.
One compromise that I'm leaning towards is having the hardware initialize when the driver is first accessed, not when it is officially started by the ASIO host application. The reason I'm thinking of doing this is that if the driver is reset by the host app, one doesn't have to wait for all the MEC modules to be re-initialized. The down side is that if one were to load up an ASIO host with the intention of using another audio interface, the PARIS hardware would still be initialized if the ASIO driver is installed.
What do you guys think of this?
All the best,
Mike
Hi Mike,
Paris and Reaper...a match made in...wait...does the Reaper have an exclusive with Heaven?
Looking forward to see how this all works!

clicked on your link, but dropbox is giving me a 404 error, so you must have removed it. Do you still have the files? I'm desperate to find a copy, pronto. Would you be willing to repost it if so?
dankeschön!!Hey Doug, somehow in the process of dropping off the face of the earth for the past year and change, I missed your reply.
Do you think you could make one for me? How much would you charge for it? I don't think I have the EE knowledge necessary to do it myself.FYI, Murgatroyd was able to help me get the files I needed, therefore I no longer need them.
However, I do agree that these files should be hosted somewhere so that others can make use of them without having to pay money for the upgraded drivers which isn't cheap considering most other drivers for everything else is given away for free.
It is a sad world when even the stuff normally given away for free starts costing huge amounts of money. It's one thing to accept donations or charge a few dollars (in case no one is willing to donate) for the efforts in re-creating a functioning driver for XP, but to charge 50$ for something normally given away freely... that's just wrong.
I'm sure all 3 of us who posted in here will gladly upload the single core XP drivers to anyone who asks for it. Just private message us if the attached file doesn't work for some reason and if we're around, we'll give you the files.
And if for some reason staff here disapproves of this comment or topic and deletes it, then I will make it a priority to get the word out and the files hosted using my own methods on other forums, blogs and even torrent sites. Let the free stuff continue to be accessible. "Fight the power!" Hi there,
i don't get it. Report message to a moderator

oot!great Mike ! people...don't sell your hardware, Paper (Paris+Reaper ) looks promising hereNow that is very cool
It's working out really well. My next step is getting some code working to get midi messages from Reaper (I assume it sends the starting values when a project is loaded) and turn on the up or down arrows accordingly and turn them off when the fader hits the right spot.
I'm going to have to contact Justin about the jog wheel. I set it up to send pitch wheel messages, but Reaper doesn't seem to work well with them. The playback moves forward, but then moves back when the speed of the jog wheel returns to zero.
It was a very, very cool experience seeing the C16 control another app's transport, faders, and mutes for the very first time.
Cheers!
Mike Awesome - is his being done through the Reaper extension SDK or is it all native inside the PARIS driver?Hi Kerry,
It's all being done inside the PARIS ASIO driver. There is a drop down box in the control panel, and the user can choose the MIDI port to use to send out MIDI messages that are derived from the C16 controls. I'd like it to work with any ASIO host, but I'll take a look at the SDK. That sounds interesting.
Cheers!
MikeSorry for late replay, but i was on journey(Holiday)!
So the Paris is Master, Sync by Wordclock, because i have got 2 Mecs.
The 710 configs the same like Paris ( 48KHz 24bit ). I used the Adat Window and at least Mikes driver don't work. So i use a beta Version 3.0 then it runs.
I used Mikes Driver and the mistake 1/1 appeared, when the Adat Cards are installed in the Mecs.
Did you got a hint to use Mikes Driver again ?My god what are you made off....
Do you realize what you are about to d

is--- the pcmcia card itself, the included connecting cable, and the connector on the unit itself, all super solid. never had any trouble at all, with bad connections, or anything else, and the unit just works, period. there is also room inside for two full-size hard drives!- but you'll need to make that second pci card some kind of ata or sata card, in order to make them work. think i paid something like $1,000.00 for the magma, brand new, several years ago. paris DEFINITELY works with it, no problem--- VERY GOOD little number, for getting paris on your laptop!- except for the annoying hum signature of the power supply/fans--- solid case. quality construction and materials used, through and through. as i recall, works beginning with win.98 se, and up. no special drivers needed, if i remember correctly--- the os has the drivers, and will automatically recognize the magma--- hope this helps.
harry eI haven't tried it with the laptop adapter, but I've been having fantastic results with the Virtua Via chassis under windows 7 with the PCIe card. I did some guitar tracking while PARIS played back 46 tracks with no hick-ups.
I also really like that I can just not turn on the virtua via box when I need to use the PC for something else. Putting less wear on the EDS cards is good.
Cheers!
Mike
The PCI spec states that the maximum wattage that a card can draw is 25 watts, and the EDS cards draw close to this amount.
If the board can only deliver 10 watts to the PCI slots, then it isn't PCI compliant, and it will not work.
Go for the Virtua
