(859) 635-5762I'm currently using a Steinberg Houston controller. I had been thinking
about getting one of those Mackie control units (MCU) for quite a while but
I wanted to try one out first. When I was in Denver, I had a chance to look
one over while Aaron and I were at GC. What a cheap, flimsy feeling POS
compared to the Houston. Really inferior as far as workmanship, IMO. The
ability to add more faders is nice on these , but I'm liking being able to
just jump to different fader sets on the Houston and stay right in the sweet
spot. If you're using Cubase or Nuendo, I would recommend getting the
Houston..........yeah, I know it's been discontinued and may not really
integrate as well with other programs (though it will work in HUI mode) ,
but, with the exception of the USB driver, they will continue to support it
and it maps itself flawlessly to Cubase or Nuendo. Since it will work with
midi,

Carl,
Nice track for sure.
I love the bass sound!
What did you use to get that? Amp/bass/mic(s)?
Tom

Thanks James. I can't take any credit for the music - it's some =
friends of
mine from St Louis called Shame Club. I've been struggling lately with =
this
gazillion-track prog-rock-later-peter gabriel wannabe group, and it's =
been a
real downer to work through - so this has been a very welcome change. =
Shame
Club is so live and stripped down - I'm just cranking the tracks up =
and
letting Paris rip. I've got an EDS comp on the 2-track, but nothing =
else on
it. Just boosting up the output. It sounds so think and juicy to me.
