is a way to configure the CPU to operate differently. ie: emulate a single
core.

It is an intermittent issue at this point so I am not dead in the water.
Pretty much every time I start up Paris everything is ok except the odd time
the 442 is not recognized. It is when I open an existing project that it
sometimes locks up. Usually once it works ok it stays fine.
