------=_NextPart_000_000A_01C8145D.50528B00--Hi Tom,
Yikes! Well, removing the house synch line from the cfg file and removing
the default project would not affect whether Windows boots or not. Both
are not looked at by anything until the PARIS application loads.
This is sounding more like either dammaged EDS card(s) or a bad motherboard.
I'm not sure this will make you feel any better, but we had basically the
same experience at work with am EMU 1820M. The external breakout box died,
and Adobe Audition became useless. It was the same kind of nightmare. Two
employees stayed up all night trying to sort it out to get a tape out to
a TV station the next day.
I wouldn't give up on PARIS over this. Hardware failures happen no matter
what platform you use - even tape - and they can be hell to sort out.
I'd ask your tech to lend you a PC, and just try installing a simple PARIS
system in there. If it works, just get a new PC.
I look forward to reading your post when you get this sorted out!
Good luck,
Mike
