Deej, sounds like you live in an ideal spot..start the coffee pot, I'll be
up there in a couple hours...
:)Somewhere there exists MSWindows software that can read a mac disk.
Don't know the name off hand but if you search you'll find it. Buy it,
install it and see if you can read the OSX partition from XP.
But first I'd try booting off of the OSX system CD and see if you can
see the internal OSX partition. If so you may be able to copy files off
of it directly.
Or get Disk Warrior, boot OSX off of its CD and use the included tools
to rescue the OSX partition and back it up to an external drive.
Or take it to an Apple store genius bar along with your external drive,
ask nicely and they'll run Disk Warrior and do the backup for you.
