Colorado Springs. I purchased them for expansion of my one card system,
but never done that and I never even opened the box. The guy said the cards
were used, but worked perfect. But again, I never opened the box tho I trust
him that they are fine... and I don't think the cables are in the box, so
it is just the two cards.
I am open to offers, but would like to get $300 for both cards (I paid way
more than that). I am not really in need of too many studio components,

At this point in my Paris using career, I really wish that I would have

probably has more to do with me and my own technological shortcomings than

either the card or I/O. I used it from 1998 until 2003 as a stand-alone
reverb, like you describe. Then I retired it (unplugged it, took it out of
the box etc) and when I put it back together, it was weirdness all around
(clocking, hissing etc).

I got this PARIS system from my college's surplus. Unfortunately it did not come with the EDS-1000 card so I can't use it. It was fully functioning when purchased, was never used except about twice by me, and only lost the EDS-1000 card when the school got new computers in our lab but forgot to give us the card back!
So instead I'd like to sell the whole thing piecemeal. I have the MEC Modular Expansion Chassis, the EDS - MEC Master board, two EDS Abit-24 ADC cards with 8 TRS inputs each, and the Control 16 board. That's all that's missing is the EDS-1000 card to get this system up and running (and cables for the EDS-1000) AND this package has two ADC cards. I am open to any offers, I'd like to get rid of this soon. I will sell pieces individually as well.
If you have a trade offer I'm game. Just let me know and I'll consider it.
As I can't connect it to a PC, I can't guarantee functionality but I saw it used two years ago and since then has been in storage.
I'll split shipping with the buyer. It is heavy of course - factor in the half of shipping for 35 pounds, from 31602, for the lot. Individual pieces will be shipped at cost, except the chassis I'll still split shipping.

There are two 8in cards in the rig posted by Corran on the 23rd - that's a decent price for 2 8ins plus a spare MEC and C16.I saw that post- unfortunately, I don't have the room or the desire to have the other stuff. They are the cables that you use to hook the two PCI cards together in your tower. They are 2x 16 pin ribbon cables and 1x 10 pin ribbon cable. I can't find them anywhere within the time frame that is pushing 10 DAYS OR LESS to finish this project

These are incredibly easy to make. Don't buy them. All you need to do is get some IDE ribbon cables from an old hard drive. Then, just take a hack saw blade and carefully split them down to the appropriate number of pins. All 3 of my eds cards are connected with home made cables.
Kerry, if this info isn't in the Wiki, it should be. Also, maybe I can do a video tutorial of how to make them and hook them up and post it to Youtube with a Wiki link?

I don't think so, but I'm not sure what you mean by "locked." Like I said, all of my cables are homemade, and though it has been a while since I looked at them, I don't think any of them "lock" in to anything. Does the "real" EDS cable have some sort of clip that holds it in place? Is that what you asking about?
Like I said- I very simply chopped a few IDE cables in half with a hack saw. They look terrible, but work just fine. No locking.
-PhilI'm guessing you mean one side of the connector's end not "clicking" while locking onto the ribbon?
It should go - you might try cautiously and judiciously muscling it just a tiny bit (gently) - you want to make certain that the "prongs" inside the connector end displace the insulation on the ribbon far enough to make a good solid connection with the conductors inside.
As far as installation of the finished cable, they don't lock onto the EDS card, it's just a snug pressure fit. Make *double sure* you don't have the pins offset by one when you install the ten pin cables.
Mind you - by now you've probably already got it installed and running HI Kerry it's Sat at 4PM our time. Just getting things together now. I'm sure we will have Q's for you. Anwyay, I just moved to a new place, and have to split my recording and mixing to two different rooms. (We have an isolation booth in the house, but I can't mix anywhere nearby.) Since I only have one EDS and control interface at the moment, I have to physically move them from one location to the other to mix, which is a pain.
So I'd like to find another C16 Pro (I'll consider a regular C16, but I'd prefer the Pro since I'm used to the layout already), and another EDS card. Does anybody have extras around?

MattLooks like Corran's rig is still for sale (I suspect the more "in demand" items this year ought to be EDS cards and ADAT MEC modules), and he did express a willingness to part it out in his first post. Welcome to the forums, glad you found us!Unfortunately, he doesn't have an EDS card with his, just the MEC and C16. If it doesn't sell as a whole, I may make on offer on the C16, but I'd really rather have another C16 Pro like I've got now.
And thanks, it's good to be back! I'm not sure if I am telling you something you don't already know, but the c-16 layouts are the same for the blue and black. They are printed differently, but the buttons have the same functions AFAIK.
So, if you're used to the layout of one, the other one will look different, but operate the same way under version 3 of Paris.
Someone please chime in if I am wrong on this...

Ok, good to know. I haven't used my console in 2+ years, so I'm still finding myself looking at the labels constantly, but I'm sure that can be overcome.

MY PROTOTYPE MIC IS NOT USING THIS EXACT HOUSING MADE PROFESSIONALLY WITH GREAT METAL FINISH AT FACTORY THAT'S WHY IN PICTURE SHOWS DEGRADATION FROM CHEAP MEATALLIZING. ANYWAY THAT WAS FOR MY PROTOTYPE.
Some couple of years ago I was about to start producing a nice U47 Telefunken clone mic.
I have ordered since then 8 unique bottles (made for me at China) using the unique "mUse47" logo.
The prototype was made to a great success which I am still using for 99% of all vocal recordings !
So I never found first the time secondly the technician needed for the final touches and left this project unfinished.
I now have here for sale or trade for Paris stuff (no Mecs neither C16's,no smpte cards)
1) A true NOS K47 Neumann capsule made in Germany shopped by a third party directly from the german factory. I actually bought back then two pieces one of which is in my protoype U47 mic.
2) The bottle (empty inside) only cables from the multipin adapter, the spider (great engineering throughout these pieces), a power supply that is working but delivers I think around 180V instead of the 105V needed for the U47 (I have a quick great tube stabilizer solution for 105V !!!) and a hard case with cable. All are new and I have around 4-5 pieces of these left.
3) Chinese U47 capsule (like Peluso ones which are Chinese no matter what is advertised !!)
4) Haufe Output transformer the best possible solution after some great research and the advice from a person working in Neuman Germnay...
5) NOS EF12 rube
6) NOS EF42 tubes, UF42 tubes
EF42 for me is the best candidate because there can be found nowdays still, they are the glass version of EF14 without the microphonics !!! Yes original EF14's UF14's VF14's had this microphonics things except for the M version VF14's.
7) Schematics needed , special made PCB for me with my Musemann logo, for the inside of the mic !!!
So if someone interested let me know.

DimitriosThese belong to a friend. I purchased two of the systems off the old user group from some of you guys. These were put together for my friends son who was hoping to produce his own work and tour. The kid got hired into an established group and these three systems have essentially been sitting in a music room for 3 or 4 years and have been powered up less than 20 times for less than 100 hours on time since the day I built and tested the whole rig.
The extras are some 8in cards. ALL of this stuff is Blackie and in damned fine shape. This posting is not an inference that one buyer must take all. However, if one buyer does take all, I'm sure the one-transaction and ship to will incentivize a lower total cost to said buyer.
I am real tempted to take one of the sys' myself but I am moving within a couple weeks and can't push the cash at the moment and not super busy tracking anyway.... also haven't needed backupware for a while... great luck with the four systems I've been using for years and years.
I don't think any reasonable offers will be refused... but this seller will define reasonable. He doesn't need the money... but he didn't get to that condition by being stupid or cheap.

I love Paris, but upcoming tv/film work this fall will take me more and more in the PTHD/Logic direction, and maintaining 3 full systems including a huge paris rig is taking up a lot of energy and space (which I don't have a lot of), so I've decided to sell most of my Paris gear.

I've decided to part with the greater portion of my Paris Rig.
Here's what's available:
