--B_3269632774_1331904--The just announced version of iWorks does look interesting.

I run NeoOffice on the Mac, a version of OpenOffice with an OSX
interface. It does a great job for word processing and spreadsheets. The
MSWord and Excel import/export works fine when I have to deal with those
proprietary formats. I've also used it to view PowerPoint presentations

.
It handles PDF export internally (although every app that can print can
export PDF on the Mac).

Firefox and Thunderbird also run great on OSX. I prefer Thunderbird to
Apple's mail program, for the most part. But I tend to use Safari more
than Firefox.

I don't currently use any of the iLife apps but I'll give 'em another
look when I upgrade OSX in October.

This is completely off topic but I just performed my first standup
comedy set tonight. It went well, and was fun. And just to get it back
to computers, I wrote most of my standup set using my Psion handheld,
still a great little machine. :^)

Cheers,

Well, if your a Mac user, then you know that you can remove any application
you don't want. As a Mac user you would also know that those applications
on your drive are not much of a performance hit, if at all. You might want
to do a search on how to turn dash board off though, because it launches
